Pre-Purchase Building Inspections

Our Building Inspection reports are user friendly and accurate, and designed to give you peace of mind when purchasing your new home.

Our licenced, insured and experienced Building Inspector will provide you with detailed advice on the condition of the structure of the property – knowledge and expertise you can rely on when making big decisions!

Our Building Inspections are carried out in accordance with the Australian Standard (AS4349.1), but we go above and beyond the basic requirements to provide you with a detailed, user friendly report.

As part of our inspection, we will inspect all accessible areas as follows:

  • the interior of the building;
  • the roof space;
  • the exterior of the building;
  • the sub-floor space; and
  • the roof exterior.

We will also inspect and report on carports, garages and the like within 30m of the residence.

We exceed the basic requirements and endeavour to identify and report on all major defects, all minor defects and all major safety issues.

Building and Pest Inspections

Our inspectors are also licenced and insured Pest Technicians with extensive experience in pest detection throughout Queensland.

Our inspectors will provide you with a detailed pest inspection report in accordance with Australian Standard AS4349.3.

Handover Inspections

Are you building a new home or undertaking a renovation?

Worried that there may be defects or poor workmanship that the builder has failed to disclose or that you might miss at handover?

Our Building Inspector can inspect your new home or renovation prior to handover. Our report will outline any defects or poor workmanship in the build or renovation process.

You can then provide this to your builder for rectification works to occur with peace of mind that you are getting the quality build that you paid for!

Warranty Inspections

Under the QBCC Home Warranty Insurance Scheme, an owner has 12 months non-structural warranty and 6 years 6 months structural warranty on new build or renovation works.

Kasper Inspections can inspect your new home or renovation prior to the expiry of the 12 month warranty period to report on any non-structural issues. This report can then be provided to your builder so that these issues can be rectified under the QBCC Home Warranty Scheme.

We also recommend all new homes and renovations have a Warranty Inspection carried out at no later than 6 years post completion to identify any structural issues that have appeared since handover.
