We were finally successful on an offer after looking for 6 months, and luckily it was conditional on B&P. At the inspection I totally missed structural exterior and interior cracking that had all been painted over and might require underpinning. Josh and Chris were super resonsive, really detailed in their report, and took the time to run over the findings with me. Just wanted to take to the time to say a massive thank you to Josh and Chris for their amazing service on the building and pest for our new home. Josh took the time to explain to me fully the service before booking and I was so grateful for that alone. We had previously had a bad experience in which the company we used shared our report with the real estate and seller, and told them everything without out permission.Chris did an amazing in depth service and you can be assured Kasper work for you. He told me about some of the issues but was careful to not say too much in front of our real estate so we could know the full extent of the issues and have the negotiation powers. Due to the incredible detail the report looked daunting but we were explained everything thoroughly, and given great advice - with my partner and I not being builders or having any experience, we needed this!Whilst Josh wasn't present at the inspection due to location difference he took the time to speak to me over the phone, pulling over on the side of the road to go through the report with me.We really did want to buy this property, and with Josh & Chris help we were able to negotiate $25k off of our house to give us the extra money needed to rectify any issues, which we are so thankful for!10/10 from me and my partner - thanks again guys!read more

I am searching for an investment property in the Brisbane area. Being from NSW I had no idea who to get to do the Pest & Building. Chris from Kasper Inspections did a building and pest inspection for a property that we were purchasing. He did a professional job with reasonable details and was happy to talk to me over phone to provide general comments on the property as well. Unfortunately, I have to let go the property because of the seriousness of the number of issues. However, it was better than purchasing and then had to dealt with all the maintenance and repairs myself. I had an option to negotiate on the price but it was risky to do so because I am an interestate buyer and it would have been difficult to make all such arrangements.read more

Josh and Andy did an amazing job with my recent building and pest, they took the time to skilfully go through the property and were happy for me to follow along and ask any questions I might have. They ran me through all the minor faults that weren’t too much of a concern and highlighted all the major faults that would cause some serious harm to my wallet. Overall they saved me from buying a lemon and was an enjoyable and educational experience. A very thorough and professional service that was prompt, easy to communicate with and competitively priced. We used Kasper Inspections for a property inspection that we thought would be quick and routine and we would go ahead with a purchase, but the things they found saved us from purchasing a dud!! Defects that were pointed out included termite infestation below floors that we would never have known about, roof beam issues and building code violations. I absolutely cannot recommend Kasper Inspections enough. Josh has inspected two properties for us now, and both times we were blown away by the professionalism, honesty, price, and thoroughness of the job done.Josh is on time, blatantly honest, extremely thorough, and lovely to work with. If we need this sort of service again we will be going back. The first house had many more structural issues than we were aware of, and the extremely thorough report from Josh (which was available the same night) highlighted many things that we couldn't have known about from our own inspection, and that the seller had failed to mention. This included the fact that the pool area was actually non-compliant for a variety of reasons, even though the sellers had a certificate. The report helped us to decide to not purchase that property due to the extensive structural issues found.Once we found another property we immediately hired Josh again, and again were blown away by the service. He picked up on things the owner, who was currently living there and a bit of a handy man himself, was unaware of. 1000% recommend Kasper Inspections!read more

Josh is a professional, down to earth guy. I had him out to carry out a building inspection. I was a bit cocky and waived the pest inspection thinking it was unnecessary for this property. Josh picked up on some termite damage and investigated further discovering some activity in the ceiling among other places. He spent an extra 45 mins onsite without charge going over and beyond to report his concerns regarding the termites. Long story short, he saved me from making a likely bad decision with the high risk of structural damage to that property based on key points he included in his report. On initial contact he was prompt and efficient in responding to a request for a quote and followed up with all the relevant information in relation to carrying out the work, including the relevant standards that applied to this work. I used Josh's building inspection service, twice. It's because my first contract fell through due to some defects Josh spotted for which I'm grateful. At first, I thought he provided excellent and meticulous inspection service. Second time around I was even more impressed with his service and skills. Being a first home buyer, I was anxious and nervous throughout the buying process, and I probably called him half a dozen times in the last few weeks. Not once did he show any sign of annoyance or anything. Every time I called him, he showed genuine empathy for my worries and tried to help me as much as he could.
